During the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and doctor is our first priority.
We would like you to know the steps VEC is taking:
Restricting our office to patients only. Anyone accompanying a patient to the office should remain outside the building, preferable in their automobile. Minors must be accompanied by ONE Guardian. This will allow for greater spacing in the waiting room between patients while reducing the chance of transmission.
Upon entry, your temperature will be read with an infrared thermometer. Anyone above 99.0 F will have to reschedule.
Anyone with the following symptoms will also be asked to reschedule their appointment:
- Coughing
- Runny Nose
- Sore Throat
- Fever
- Difficulty Breathing
- Loss of taste/smell
Appointment times will be spaced further apart to ensure social distancing.
Hand sanitation stations are available at the entrance and throughout the practice
Each pre-testing and examination rooms are disinfected after every patient exam, including all surfaces, instrumentation, door handles, and equipment.
We will disinfect frames after a patient has contact with them.
Limiting the number of patients in the office or any area at one time. Spreading out the waiting room chairs to ensure distancing in office.
The exam room and pretesting instruments will be disinfected after every patient.
We will be aware of common “touch points” within the clinic such as doorknobs, counters, keyboard, phones, credit card machines, pens, etc… and will be disinfecting these as often as possible.
All reading material has been removed from the waiting area
Face masks are required while in office(s).
Request that patients to practice social distancing; keep 6 feet between you and other patients.
Coming out to your car to dispense glasses and contact lenses (curbside pickup).
Offering à la carte services for those who are high risk category; please call to schedule your own personal appointment and time in optical.
